Topic: Health Systems Strengthening in Global Health: Research, capacity building, and policy exchange
The Series directs special attention towards the added value of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in global health research. Every first Tuesday of the month, speakers share insights of their research projects while focusing on research processes, methods as well as lessons learned. Following the 30 minute speaker’s presentation, the Series encourages an academic exchange between the speaker and the audience in a 30 minute Q&A session.
Dr. Quentin will talk about his research on health system strengthening in Global Health Research and report on the GLOHRA funded research project MeasureGender. MeasureGender aims to develop a culturally adapted tool for measuring gender-based discrimination. These tools can be used in future surveys to improve our understanding of the relationship between gender-based discrimination and maternal health outcomes.
