Global Health Research - GLOHRA Academy Series
Guest Speaker: Dr. Ellen Kuhlmann
Topic: Health workforce research: why we need global health and feminist approaches
The Series directs special attention towards the added value of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in global health research. Every first Tuesday of the month, speakers share insights of their research projects while focusing on research processes, methods as well as lessons learned. Following the 30 minute speaker’s presentation, the Series encourages an academic exchange between the speaker and the audience in a 30 minute Q&A session.
Dr. Ellen Kuhlmann will highlight the need for global health and feminist approaches in health workforce research. She will introduce the GLOHRA funded study PROTECT that investigates perceptions and needs of migrant health care workers and explores policy solutions. Moreover, Ellen will show how researchers can incorporate and bring attention to the issue of sexual violence against healthcare workers in research projects.
