Title: A decade of collaboration to improve breast cancer care in Ethiopia

Dr. Kantelhardt has worked for over a decade as part of a team of collaborators from Addis Ababa University and Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in Ethiopia. Since learning in 2008 that her Ethiopian friend developed breast cancer, she became interested in oncology care capacity and structures in Ethiopia. She shares her experience and results from her research and activities in the country.

The next GLOHRA Academy Series will be on 1 June, 2021 where Prof. Dr. Sebastian Vollmer will discuss Access to Care for Cardiometabolic Diseases in the Global South.

Event Announcement

The GLOHRA Academy Series is a new format of the Global Health Academy that presents and discusses global health research from the perspectives of the different research disciplines.

The Series directs special attention towards the added value of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in global health research. Every first Tuesday in a month, a speaker shares insights of her/his research projects while focusing on research processes, methods as well as lessons learned. Following the 30 minute speaker’s presentation, the Series encourages an academic exchange between the speaker and the audience in a 30 minute Q&A session.
