Publication on fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative global health research in Germany and beyond

Peer-reviewed publication in Global Health Action by the GLOHRA Secretariat and Steering Committee

Beyond buzzwords: fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative global health research in Germany and beyond

The GLOHRA Steering Committee and GLOHRA Secretariat have reflected on lessons learned in the early years of GLOHRA and are proud to have created a peer-reviewed article for Global Health Action.

The article examines how interdisciplinary and cross-sector research collaborations are essential for addressing global health challenges. It identifies key enablers, such as inclusive governance structures and targeted seed funding, and highlights ongoing challenges, particularly in creating equitable partnerships with low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The authors call for sustained federal support and institutional backing to strengthen Germany's global health research landscape.
