Hosted by the German Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA) at the 8th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research
Date: 19 November 2024, 10:15-12:15 Japan Standard Time
Location: HSR 2024, Nagasaki, Japan
This session will explore innovative and integrated models of capacity building in Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR), featuring case studies from Germany, India, and beyond. Recognizing that complex challenges within HPSR require collaboration across disciplines and sectors, the session will highlight practical strategies that have been successfully implemented in diverse contexts with a range of stakeholders.
We will also invite discussion on critical questions: What are the key barriers to interdisciplinary research, and how can we overcome them? How can training programs be designed to be mutually beneficial and sustainable beyond project timelines? What strategies improve transparency and accountability in health governance? Fuelled by the discussion, we aim to shed light on concrete takeaways for strengthening HPSR through innovative collaboration.
