Dr. Muhammad Zaman presents on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in low and middle income countries

GLOHRA Academy Series

Global Health Research - GLOHRA Academy Series

Guest Speaker: Dr. Muhammad Zaman

Topic: Systems level understanding of AMR in low and middle income countries: From molecular mechanisms to government policy

The Series directs special attention towards the added value of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in global health research. Every first Tuesday of the month, speakers share insights of their research projects while focusing on research processes, methods as well as lessons learned. Following the 30 minute speaker’s presentation, the Series encourages an academic exchange between the speaker and the audience in a 30 minute Q&A session.

Dr. Zaman will present his research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), where he seeks to address gaps in both experimental and social research involving the role of poor quality medicines in antibiotic resistance development. He will take us on a journey on the systems level understanding of AMR in low and middle income countries, from basic molecular research to its application on policy level.
