Simulation game to address a global health challenge: Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)

For early career researchers

Status: Applications closed

The Global Health Academy invites you to participate in a simulation game to reflect on academic blind spots and current academic debates. Within a given scenario, we simulate a cross-sector, multi-stakeholder dialogue and inspire holistic and systemic thinking on the global health challenges of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

  • The scenario will take place in a fictitious country modelled after a sub-Saharan African biome and society. This will allow participants to adequately “zoom-out” from reality and focus on unifying, systemic NTD dynamics.
  • The simulation game will focus on common factors, issues, strategies and synergies, rather than an in-depth discussion on a certain NTD.
  • A variety of actors with different backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on local stakeholders, will be present and played by the participants.

No specific background on NTDs is required! You will receive information on the scenario and your role in the simulation game one day prior to the event. We encourage early career researchers from all GLOHRA disciplines to apply.

Accepted applicants will receive the link to participate before the event. Waitlisted applicants will be contacted if a space becomes available.
