Date: 16 - 20 September 2024
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
The second GLOHRA field trip brought a group of 20 early career researchers from the GLOHRA community to Geneva. This highly engaged group of researchers gained insights into the inner workings of international organizations and explored how research can inform policy – from lab discovery to research program to policy advocacy. The group visited the World Health Organization, Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi), Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) and the Geneva Graduate Institute among many others. Additionally, participants connected with their like-minded GLOHRA peers – on sight-seeing walks, over breakfast or in an impromptu pilates session – building relationships across disciplinary and geographical distances. Thank you to all the speakers and participants who made this trip a success!
