Training offer for early career researchers

Interested early- and mid-career researchers planning to conduct implementation research are warmly invited to submit an application for in-person participation in the training on Applied Implementation Science Research in Global Healthcare, Systems, and Policy Settings. Applications can be submitted until 17:00 UTC on 30 May 2024 via the online system. 25 applicants will be selected to attend the intensive, five-day training from 7 - 11 October 2024 in Heidelberg, Germany. A select number of travel grants will be made available.

All interested researchers are warmly invited to watch the pre-recorded online courses on the basic foundations of implementation science research which are available at GACD implementation science e-hub. These online lectures provide an overview of theories, methods, and frameworks relevant for implementation research.

Participants in this hands-on training will acquire skills to:

  • Formulate relevant implementation research question and choose an appropriate study design.
  • Apply theoretical models, research designs and measurement framework
  • Undertake real-world implementation research
  • Implement and translate research findings into policy and practice
  • Collaborate and network within Germany and globally in the field of implementation science.
