The Series directs special attention towards the added value of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in global health research. On the first Tuesday of the month, speakers share insights of their research projects while focusing on research processes, methods as well as lessons learned. Following the 30 minute speaker’s presentation, the Series encourages an academic exchange between the speaker and the audience in a 30 minute Q&A session.

Prof. Dr. Kayvan Bozorgmehr is full professor in public health and head of the Department of Population Medicine and Health Services Research, School of Public Health at Bielefeld University. His scientific interests are in the area of structural, social and economic determinants of health and health system organization, with a particular focus on equity aspects, migration and transnational interdependencies. He leads several large-scale research projects on health and health care for asylum seekers and refugees and has published extensively on this topic.
