The dedication within our research community continues to surpass expectations and we take pride in what has been accomplished so far. In 2023, GLOHRA… 

  • Reached the noteworthy milestone of 1000 members. All member profiles can be found in the Global Health Research Directory
  • Received a record-breaking number of applications for research projects – 5 of the 33 proposals submitted were recommended for funding.
  • Launched a video to offer a succinct glimpse into our mission and approach, spotlighting the GLOHRA-funded interdisciplinary RESAMP project in Madagascar. 
  • Completed measures to strengthen cooperation with partners in low- and middle income countries funded by BMZ and published a strategy to enable better international cooperation for global health research.
  • Attracted more than 2500 participants in scientific events, including member-led workshops and trainings. 
  • Underwent an external evaluation which confirmed GLOHRA's success in enhancing the German research landscape for global health researchers. The findings underscore the need for sustained support and expanded collaborations in the future to amplify GLOHRA's positive impact.
